NBA playoffs: Kobe smacks down Nugs, housekeeper
Kobe Bryant had a landmark day in his quest to become America’s most douchebaggy sports icon on Saturday.
On Saturday night, Bryant scored 41 points — including a big basket to give Los Angeles a one-point lead with just over a minute remaining — to help the Lakers grab a 2-1 lead in the NBA Western Conference finals with a 103-97 victory over the Nuggets in Denver.
Earlier in the day, however, reports came to light back in La-La that Bryant and his wife are suing their former housekeeper for having the audacity to speak publicly about the living hell her life became while working for Lil’ Jellybean and his blushing bride. The Bryants filed the countersuit in response to a suit filed by the ex-housekeeper that alleges the darling couple, among other things, refused to provide her health insurance.
No word yet on whether the case will make the epilogue of Spike Lee’s recent promotional piece … oops, documentary on the Lakers’ charmer.
